Met my friend and I met up for a late night dinner and catch up. I didn't realize that Hangry Mama has a parking lot on the bottom level that is not connected to the top parking lot. It's kind of a tight lot, but has a good amount of stalls. When we walked inside, I didn't realize how small it was in there. It has about 5-7 tables and a few bar seats. Staff are very nice and friendly! Our waitress brought us water and kept coming to check on us and refill our water. She was super nice and attentive. We ordered the mandu, kimchee fried rice with cheese, and the pork belly wraps. The mandu was big and tasty. The kimchee fried rice came on a skillet with cheese underneath. They used the sour-ish kimchee which I don't mind but I know some people don't care for that. And the pork belly wraps, I thought were like lettuce wraps but it was pork belly fried crispy and has cheese inside. Soooo good! I wanted to eat more but those 3 dishes were filling! I wanted to order a drink and drink with my friend but I was too full. She got a beer and it was only $4. Very reasonable to me. It's a bar so it was pretty loud, but expected when you go to those kinds of places. The food was good. And the staff were super nice. I would go back, and next time I'll make sure to have a drink!

I cannot wait to come back here! Love everything about this gem of a place. Food: Each of the dishes we had was tasty, satisfying, and plentiful. French fries smothered in garlic, not lightly seasoned, is how it should be! Mandoo tastes homemade and fresh! Fried noodles had yummy seasoning that did not make me want to stop eating. Kimchi fried rice was warm and comforting. Large array of drinks to choose from, including many Soju flavors. We choose a nice black cherry. Service: We came close to kitchen closing time. Server was clear about this, and told us they would still cook anything we wanted. The food came out quick, and tasted freshly made. Server was so nice, and made time to chit chat with us. She was friendly, but not overly so, allowing my friend and I to have our own conversations. She always made sure our water glasses were full. Thanked us and said goodbye when we left, which is not too common these days. Ambiance: Can't see it from the main road. Kinda in the underbelly of a building, but have always loved hideaway-type places. While the location is surrounded by grunge, the bar/restaurant interior is clean and well-kept. I didn't feel oily like I do in a lot of bars since ventilation and ac seemed to be functioning well. There weren't many people when we went, so maybe things change when there's a crowd. Like I said, I'm so looking forward to the next time we chill and dine here. This place is truly a hidden gem I'm happy to have discovered.

Second time coming here for the food. They have beer, soju cocktails and can make things like Jack and coke. Not fancy, but great tasting food. The mochiko chicken bomb and kim chee fried rice with cheese were pretty good, but the wings were overpriced and underwhelming. $20 for 6 small wings. Bar ambience with friendly service.

After passing the sign a billion times, we decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous at first as I have never been under where it is located only to above businesses. Needless to say, it turned out to be a hidden gem! The food was great!! We had Mando, which had all the qualities of homemade. The pork belly wrap was crispy and delicious. The mochiko chicken took me by surprise, most places don't get it right, it is either to dry or under cooked. It was cooked to crisp but still juicy inside, just the right amount of sauce (not overpowering or drowning) and to top it off was Bonito flakes. At first I thought weird combo, but it somehow works and compliments the dish. The service was good gram the moment you walked in, being our first time the didn't make us feel uncomfortable. They immediately gave us a seat and our food came out fairly quickly. Immediately walking in, you notice that the place is very small. It can also get really loud dependent on the volume of the karaoke music playing (I noticed staff adjusting the volume when it got way to loud). Understandable given the size of the place. Overall it was a great experience almost didn't want to review to keep the place from overflowing with too much people!!

Amazing food. We had the steak with onions and mushrooms and the kimchee fried rice with cheese. Love the sizzling platters. Our bartender was really nice. She made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Loved that there was so many things to do and the ambiance is very cool and clean. Will be going back soon for yummy food.

Late night eats in Pearl City, Oahu, Hawaii... After our Alumni Bowling Tournament, my high school classmate and I searched for a place to have a snack because a slice of pizza at the bowling alley just wasn't enough for dinner. We agreed on Hangry Mama Bar & Kitchen because it closes at 10pm. I read great reviews by my friends, Daniel C., Gabriel P., Kristen T., and Peter T. I knew where Hangry Mama was located because I had taken my cousin to this four-story building (Pearl City Business Plaza) for his dental appointment in the past. I didn't know how to enter the lower level parking (it was dark), so I just parked on the upper level and walked down the stairs. Bree was our cheerful, efficient server... even though she said she was "new". She told us the edamame and pork belly was out... shucks! During our 3 hour visit, she checked up on us often and didn't kick us out at 10pm. She let us stay super long! Haha! We got the mandoo and Lemongrass kalbi - both were really yummy! The interior of the bar is clean, modern, and spacious with cute decor. The restroom is convenient and has a cool sink - check it out! The only thing is that Hangry Mama is located next to some sketchy bars, and a few questionable guys were lurking around. My friend insisted on driving me to the upper level where my car was. Thanks! Yeah... Don't come alone, girlfriends!

Located right across Pearl City Zippy, and parking is located underground with a one-way road. It is definitely a super casual place with open karaoke with other people who sits at other tables, so it can get very loud if you prefer having a super chill one-on-one catch-up with a friend, this is not the place for you. + Utensils, plates, and sauces are available on the table + Great customer service + many side-dishes,dips, or banchans available to grab on-the-go + Generous portions, even though the price can be a lot for some people - Be careful with driving in the parking lot since it can be very cramp, especially since the parking lot is one-way with many pillars. If you can, definitely get their kimchi salmon dip. Plus, they offer ritz cracker on the side to get it with!

With the numerous number of Korean restaurants throughout the state, Hangry Mama was a gem. We ordered three dishes, and each had a unique flavor. We ordered Fried Noodles, the Mochiko Chicken Bomb, and the Pork Belly Wrap. Their bar food was delicious, and the presentation was like a high class restaurant. The service was excellent, and we got to meet Samantha (Sammy), the owner, cook, and bar tender. Very pleasant and sweet. The bar and grill is located in the bowls of the Pearlcity Business Plaza. On the ocean side of the building. Like to thank fellow Yelper Kristin T. for pointing out this place. Enjoy
